This seal is suitable if:
- Your folding or framed shower door has an existing side retaining track.
- The internal track can accept an insert approximately 8mm wide.
- The track opening is at least 3.6mm wide.
- You need a 12mm soft side fin to close the space between adjoining door or frame sections.
- Your required finished length is 2000mm or less.
Choose another seal if:
- Your track is narrower than the 8mm insert profile.
- The slot opening is less than approximately 3.6mm.
- Your existing seal clips directly onto glass rather than fitting into a frame channel.
- You need a bottom seal, magnetic seal or long flexible blade for a large gap.
- Rollers, hinges or other fittings obstruct the side channel.
Product Details
ROT03 is a side insert seal commonly used on folding and framed shower doors.
The rigid lower section fits into an existing frame channel, while the 12mm soft fin projects sideways to help close the space between moving door sections or between the door and frame.
For this profile, the fixing dimensions matter more than the overall appearance of your old seal. Before ordering, check two measurements carefully:
- the retaining section is approximately 8mm wide
- the channel opening must be at least 3.6mm
The insert section is approximately 1.7mm high, which is also useful when comparing the cross-section with an existing strip.
Once fitted, the flexible 12mm fin can move lightly as the folding door opens and closes rather than acting as a rigid stop.
Supplied as a 2000mm PVC strip and can be trimmed to the required length before installation.
