Why SIMBA Seals Last Longer
Most seals look the same — until you’ve used them.
SIMBA seals are made for real homes, real showers, real results.
Leaking at Bottom?
Don’t just replace your seal—fix the leak for good
Water escaping from under your shower door isn't just a mess; it's a risk to your floorboards and your safety.
Whether you have a sagging door, an uneven floor, or the wrong seal profile, SIMBA expert guide breaks down the 6 most common causes of bottom leaks and how to solve them in under 10 minutes.
-
When should I replace the seal at the bottom of my shower door?
You should replace your shower door bottom seal if it shows any of the following: Cracked, Loose, Mouldy, Yellowed, Covered in Limescale.
-
How to cut shower door bottom seal?
You can easily cut our bath bottom seals to size using garden secateurs (pruners). If you are using regular scissors, first score a line where you want to cut, and then snap the seal strip along that mark.
-
Do you offer seals that work with pivot shower doors?
Yes! Several of our bottom sweep are perfect for pivot-style enclosures.
-
How do I stop my shower door seal from squeaking?
Good question! That squeaking noise usually means the seal's fin is being crushed because the gap is too small. The size is mismatched. Please choose a bottom seal that correctly fits your shower door gap size. Once the size is right, the noise will disappear.
-
Do bottom shower door seals also fit curved shower doors?
Curved doors require specific curved bottom seals. You must not try to heat and soften a straight seal to force it onto curved glass.
-
Can the shower bulb seal be used on the bottom?
You can, but we don't recommend it. The bulb seal's hollow top design traps soap and water, which quickly accelerates the ageing and degradation of the seal.
-
What's the difference with Single vs. Twin Fin bottom sweep?
Double-fin seals naturally offer better water deflection than single-fin seals. However, if you use a single-fin seal paired with our transparent D510 threshold strip, you can achieve perfect water blocking performance.
-
Must I Remove the Glass to Change My Shower Seal?
Absolutely not! You do not need to remove the door or glass for installation. Even if your bottom gap is too small for a regular glass bottom seal strip, the solution is simple: switch to an Adhesive Seal!
