This seal is suitable if:
- Your shower glass is 6mm, 7mm or 8mm thick.
- You have a small bottom gap of approximately 1–5mm.
- The lower edge of the glass is straight and exposed.
- You need a slim bottom seal rather than a long hanging fin.
- You can fit the seal with the angled guide facing towards the wet side of the shower.
- Your required finished length is 950mm or less.
Choose another seal if:
- Your glass thickness is outside 6–8mm.
- Your bottom gap is much larger than 5mm.
- The lower edge of the glass is curved.
- A metal frame, hinge or bottom rail prevents the channel from clipping directly onto the glass.
- You need a magnetic, side or track-mounted seal.
Product Details
RY0483 is a clear bottom seal designed for 6–8mm shower glass with very small clearances beneath the door.
Unlike longer-fin seals intended for larger gaps, this profile is suited to bottom spaces of around 1–5mm, where a deeper fin could drag heavily against the tray or interfere with opening and closing.
One side of the profile includes an angled water guide. Fit this section facing towards the inside / wet side of the shower to help direct water back towards the tray.
The clear PVC channel pushes directly onto a smooth, straight glass edge without adhesive.
The 1–5mm range is recommended rather than absolute. The practical check is that the lower sealing section makes useful contact without creating excessive resistance as the door moves.
Supplied in a 950mm length and can be trimmed before fitting.
