Suitable Applications & Installation Notes
VB08 is a clear push-fit bottom seal made specifically for 8mm straight shower glass.
Its structure combines two different forms of water control. The 17mm rigid side deflector helps direct water running down the glass back towards the shower area, while the two soft 9mm fins underneath the door provide an additional sealing contact against the tray or threshold.
The twin fins are flexible rather than rigid. When the clearance is suitable, they bend as the door moves and should not make the door noticeably harder to open simply because there are two fins instead of one.
A bottom gap of approximately 4–8mm is the recommended working range, not an absolute limit. A slightly different gap may still work if the fins make useful contact with the tray without being heavily compressed or preventing the door from moving freely.
Because this version is made for 8mm glass, the channel should grip the glass firmly without adhesive. It is suitable for many frameless hinged doors, pivot doors, straight shower screens and selected sliding-door arrangements where the bottom edge is unobstructed.
The seal is supplied in a 1000mm length and can be trimmed before fitting. Remove the old profile, clean and dry the glass edge, then press the new seal on evenly until the channel is fully seated.
