This seal is suitable if:

  • Your shower glass is 4mm, 5mm or 6mm thick.
  • The lower edge of the glass is straight and exposed.
  • Your bottom gap is approximately 4–8mm.
  • You want a bottom seal with two soft flexible fins rather than a single wiping fin.
  • You need a replacement for a frameless or semi-frameless shower door or screen.
  • Your required finished length is 1000mm or less.

Choose another seal if:

  • Your glass is thicker than 6mm.
  • The lower glass edge is curved.
  • A metal frame or bottom trim prevents the seal from fitting directly onto the glass.

Suitable Applications & Installation Notes

VB456 is a clear push-fit bottom seal for 4–6mm straight shower glass, combining a 17mm rigid water deflector with two soft flexible sealing fins underneath.

The rigid 17mm side section helps guide water back towards the shower area as it runs down the glass, rather than allowing it to spill directly over the door edge.

Below the glass, the two soft fins create two flexible contact points against the tray or threshold. This gives an extra layer of protection compared with a single-fin profile, helping reduce water passing through the bottom gap where contact is not perfectly even.

The twin-fin design does not automatically make the door harder to open. The fins are soft and designed to flex as the door moves. When the bottom clearance is around the recommended 4–8mm range, they should bend against the tray rather than act as rigid stops.

The 4–8mm gap is a recommended working range, not an absolute limit. A slightly different clearance may still be suitable depending on how the fins meet the tray and whether the door can move freely without excessive compression.

The clear U-shaped channel pushes directly onto the bottom edge of the glass without adhesive. The seal is supplied in a 1000mm length and can be trimmed before fitting.
