Suitable Applications & Installation
The MD81090 magnetic shower door seal pair is designed for 8mm, 9mm and 10mm glass where two straight glass panels meet at a 90-degree angle.
It can be used on suitable sliding shower doors or hinged shower doors, provided the closing position and gap match the product images. When the door is closed, the two glass panels should meet at 90°, with an approximate 11mm vertical gap between them. This allows the two magnetic strips to line up and close securely.
This seal is a suitable replacement for old 90-degree magnetic shower door seals that have become worn, stiff, weak or discoloured over time. The clear PVC body gives a clean finish, while the magnetic inserts help hold the shower door closed and reduce water escaping through the vertical gap.
It is not suitable for 180° glass-to-glass closures, curved glass doors, doors with a much smaller or larger gap, or any shower door where the magnets cannot align properly.
To install, remove the old magnetic seals and clean the glass edges. Check the glass thickness, closing angle and gap size before fitting. Push each seal onto the glass from top to bottom, making sure the magnetic strips face each other correctly. The 2000mm length can be carefully trimmed to the required size before installation.
