1. Is this the right seal for a 90° sliding shower door?
Yes, if viewed from inside the shower enclosure, the fixed panel is on the right and the sliding door closes from left to right at a 90° glass-to-glass corner.
2. What glass thickness does ME81090 fit?
ME81090 is suitable for 8mm, 9mm and 10mm glass. Please measure the glass itself, not the old seal or any edge trim.
3. Is this supplied as one strip or a pair?
This product is supplied as a pair of 2 strips, designed for the corresponding closing edges of the fixed glass panel and the sliding glass panel.
4. Can the length be trimmed?
Yes. Each strip is 2000mm long and can be trimmed to suit your shower door height.
5. Will this stop water leaking from my shower door?
It may help reduce water escaping between the two side glass edges. Leaks from the bottom, guide rail or wall edge may require a different bottom seal or adjustment.
Suitable Applications & Installation
ME81090 is suitable for selected 90° sliding shower doors where, viewed from inside the shower enclosure, the fixed glass panel is on the right and the sliding door closes from left to right. It is designed for vertical side magnetic closing edges on compatible 90° corner-entry, square or rectangular sliding shower enclosures.
It can be used to replace old, yellowed, cracked or worn magnetic seals that no longer close properly, helping restore the side magnetic closure and reduce water escaping between the two glass panels.
This seal is for vertical side magnetic closing edges only. It is not suitable for bottom seals, drip seals, guide rail seals, track seals, metal-framed door edges or non-90° closing structures.
To install, remove the old seal and clean the glass edge. Start from the bottom of the glass and push the new seal upwards along the edge until fully fitted. Do not start from the middle, as this can make the seal difficult to push into place. Trim to height if required.
