This seal is suitable if:
- Your shower door uses a T-slot or retaining channel.
- The internal channel can accept an approximately 7mm T-head.
- The slot opening is under about 5mm, allowing the head to stay securely inside the track.
- Your sliding-door closing gap is up to around 7mm.
- You need a magnetic replacement seal for a framed or track-based shower door.
- You need up to 2000mm per strip.
Choose another seal if:
- Your existing seal clips directly onto exposed glass.
- Your track cannot accept the 7mm retaining head.
- The slot opening is too wide to hold the profile securely.
- Your closing gap is clearly larger than around 7mm.
- You need a glass-to-glass 90°, 135° or 180° magnetic seal instead.
Why We Supply MG002 as a Pair
MG002 is a black magnetic shower seal designed to slide into the existing T-slot of a framed or sliding shower door.
Its 7mm retaining head sits inside the track, while the narrower slot opening helps prevent the seal from pulling back out during use.
The magnetic section is suitable for closing gaps of up to approximately 7mm.
MG002 is supplied as a matching pair of two 2000mm strips. Even if you only need to replace one side, we recommend fitting the pair where possible.
On many framed shower doors, the original magnetic strip is partly or fully hidden inside the track, making its polarity difficult to confirm before removal. Replacing only one strip can therefore result in the new magnet repelling rather than attracting the existing one.
Using the supplied matching pair avoids this polarity problem and gives you two magnetic strips designed to close together correctly.
Both strips can be trimmed to the required length before fitting.
