This seal is suitable if:
- Your shower door uses an existing T-slot or retaining channel.
- The channel opening is more than 5.5mm wide.
- The internal channel space is more than 9mm.
- Your closing gap is no more than approximately 19mm.
- You need a magnetic replacement seal for a framed or sliding shower door.
- You need up to 2000mm per strip.
Choose another seal if:
- Your slot opening is 5.5mm or narrower.
- The internal track space is less than 9mm.
- Your closing gap is clearly larger than approximately 19mm.
- Your old seal clips directly onto exposed glass.
- You need a glass-to-glass 90°, 135° or 180° magnetic profile.
Check the Track Size Before Ordering
MG003 is a light grey T-slot magnetic seal pair for framed or sliding shower doors.
This profile uses a larger 9mm retaining head, so the existing track needs enough space to accept it. Before ordering, check that:
the slot opening is greater than 5.5mm
the internal channel space is greater than 9mm
If both measurements are suitable, the profile can slide into the existing track and stay retained inside the channel.
The magnetic section is suitable for closing gaps of up to approximately 19mm.
MG003 is supplied as a matching pair of two 2000mm strips. Even if you only need one side, we recommend replacing the pair where possible.
With older framed shower doors, the original magnetic strip may be partly hidden inside the track, making its polarity difficult to identify. Replacing only one strip can therefore result in the new magnet repelling the existing one instead of attracting it.
Using the supplied pair avoids this polarity issue.
Both strips can be trimmed before fitting.
