This seal is suitable if:
- Your shower glass is 4mm, 5mm or 6mm thick.
- You need a replacement seal for the bottom edge of straight shower glass.
- You want a short side fin to help guide water back towards the bath or shower area.
- Your required finished length is 950mm or less.
Choose another seal if:
- Your glass is thicker than 6mm.
- The lower edge of the glass is curved.
- A metal frame or bottom rail prevents the seal from pushing directly onto the glass.
- You need a magnetic or vertical side seal.
How This Seal Works
RY0517 is a clear push-fit bottom seal for 4–6mm straight shower glass.
Its design uses two flexible sections for different jobs.
The short side fin helps direct water running down the glass back towards the bath or shower area. Underneath, a second soft fin provides another contact point below the door to help reduce water passing through the bottom edge.
This makes RY0517 different from a standard single-fin bottom seal, where one flexible section may be expected to handle most of the contact below the glass.
The seal pushes directly onto the glass without adhesive and is supplied in a 950mm length for trimming to size.
