This seal is suitable if:
- Your shower door is a framed sliding door.
- Your existing seal fits into a T-shaped frame channel or groove.
- The actual frame channel opening is wider than 10mm.
- The gap between your sliding door panels is less than 16mm.
- You need a pair of seals for the closing side of a framed sliding shower door.
- You want a 2000mm seal that can be trimmed to the required length.
Please choose a different seal if:
- Your shower door is frameless or curved.
- Your door is hinged or pivoting rather than sliding.
- Your frame channel is 10mm or smaller.
- Your sliding door gap is larger than 16mm.
- You need a seal that pushes directly onto bare glass.
- You need a bottom seal, side fin seal, or 90° glass-to-glass magnetic seal.
Suitable Use + Installation
The MG001 framed sliding shower door seal is designed for shower doors with a suitable T-slot frame channel. It is supplied as a pair and is available in white or black.
This seal is a good option when the old sliding door seal has become loose, worn, discoloured or no longer closes cleanly. The T-shaped base fits into the frame channel, while the magnetic insert helps the two sliding door panels close together more neatly.
Before ordering, please check the actual width of your frame channel. The channel needs to be wider than 10mm for this seal to fit correctly. The sliding door gap should also be less than 16mm when the door is closed.
MG001 is suitable for many framed sliding shower doors where the seal is held by the metal or plastic frame. It is not suitable for frameless glass doors, hinged doors, pivot doors, curved doors, or any door where the seal needs to grip directly onto the glass edge.
To install, remove the old seal and clean the frame channel. Test the new seal in the T-slot before cutting. Once the fit is confirmed, slide or push the seal into the channel from top to bottom, then trim the 2000mm length carefully if required.
