This seal is suitable if:

  • Your shower glass is 4mm, 5mm or 6mm thick.
  • The lower glass edge is straight and exposed.
  • Your bottom gap is approximately 5–11mm.
  • You need a shorter 12mm flexible fin for a relatively small clearance.
  • Your required finished length is 950mm or less.

Choose another seal if:

  • Your glass is thicker than 6mm.
  • Your gap is much larger than 11mm, where a longer fin may give better contact.
  • The glass bottom is curved.
  • A frame, hinge or bottom rail prevents the U-channel from fitting directly onto the glass.
  • You need a magnetic, side or track-mounted seal.

Suitable Applications & Installation Notes

V456S12 is a clear bottom seal designed for thin 4–6mm frameless shower glass where the space beneath the door is relatively small.

Its 12mm soft fin is shorter than the larger-gap versions in this range, making it better suited to clearances of around 5–11mm. In these smaller gaps, a shorter fin usually sits more naturally and avoids unnecessary folding beneath the glass.

The recommended gap is not an absolute limit. The practical check is whether the fin reaches the tray or threshold while still allowing the door to open and close freely.

The clear U-channel pushes directly onto a smooth, straight glass edge without adhesive. Supplied in a 950mm length and can be trimmed before fitting.

The shower door seal is very good, better than the original in my opinion, especially the inside deflector strip that directs water away from the shower door and back into the shower tray. Fitting was very easy and gives a good watertight seal so far. The only downside, as ever, was the abysmal performance of the EVRI delivery "service" , how it takes them 5 days to deliver the item from reception is a complete mystery to me.
