This seal is suitable if:

  • Your glass thickness is 4mm, 5mm or 6mm.
  • Your shower door has an exposed frameless bottom edge.
  • Your bottom gap is approximately 17–20mm.
  • Your door width is 950mm or less.
  • Your door is a shower screen, pivot door, hinged door or selected sliding door with a straight, accessible bottom edge.
  • The seal will be used in a normal bathroom environment, away from direct high heat.

Choose another seal if:

  • Your glass is thicker than 6mm.
  • Your bottom gap is smaller than 17mm or larger than 20mm.
  • Your shower door has a metal frame, bottom channel or special track.
  • You need a curved shower screen seal.
  • The seal will be exposed to temperatures above 70°C, as high heat may soften, warp or deform the PVC.

Product Details

The V456S20 is a clear bottom seal for 4mm, 5mm and 6mm frameless glass shower doors with a larger bottom gap of around 17–20mm. It has a rigid PVC U-channel that grips the exposed lower edge of the glass, with a soft 20mm fin underneath to help reduce water escaping beneath the door.

It is suitable for straight shower screens, pivot doors, hinged doors and some sliding doors where the lower glass edge is straight and easy to reach. The seal is fitted by pressing it onto the glass and can be trimmed to suit door widths up to 950mm.

The longer fin is useful where the gap is too large for a shorter bottom seal, but it should not be forced into a much smaller gap, as this may cause dragging. Do not use this seal in areas exposed to heat above 70°C, as the PVC may soften, warp or lose its shape.
