This seal is suitable if:
- Your shower glass is 8mm, 9mm or 10mm thick.
- The lower edge of the glass is straight and exposed.
- The gap beneath the door is approximately 5–11mm.
- You need a short bottom fin that can meet the tray without dragging heavily.
- There is no frame, hinge or guide block obstructing the seal.
- Your required finished length is 950mm or less.
Choose another seal if:
- Your glass is not 8–10mm thick.
- The bottom gap is larger than approximately 11mm.
- The lower glass edge is curved.
- A metal profile or frame covers the bottom edge.
- Nearby hardware prevents the fin from moving freely.
Suitable Applications & Installation Notes
V810S12 is a clear PVC bottom seal for 8–10mm straight shower glass, intended for relatively small clearances beneath the door.
The 12mm flexible fin is designed for gaps of approximately 5–11mm. Its shorter reach makes it a practical choice where a longer blade would press too firmly against the tray, fold underneath the glass or make the door feel stiff when opening.
The seal pushes directly onto a clean, smooth bottom glass edge. It is best suited to frameless or semi-frameless doors without metal trim or fittings blocking the lower edge.
When fitted correctly, the fin should make light contact with the shower tray or threshold. It should not be tightly crushed or forced to curl beneath the door.
The profile is supplied in a 950mm length and can be trimmed before fitting. Remove the old seal, clean and dry the glass edge, then press the new channel on evenly until fully seated.
