Suitable Applications

The V810S12 is one of our most popular bottom shower door seal options for thicker frameless glass doors. It is designed for 8mm, 9mm and 10mm glass with a bottom gap of approximately 9–12mm, making it a practical replacement for old, yellowed, cracked or worn bottom seals on heavier frameless shower doors.

Its 12mm soft fin is intended for standard bottom clearances where the fin can lightly contact the tray or floor without excessive drag. This helps reduce water escape beneath the glass while keeping the door movement smooth when the gap is correctly measured. If the gap is below 9mm, the fin may rub against the tray; if the gap is above 12mm, a deeper-fin model may be more suitable.

The included D510 threshold bar adds a second water barrier and is especially useful for thicker 8–10mm glass doors where water tends to escape beneath the door, the shower tray lip is low, or the floor slopes slightly outward. Used together, the bottom seal and threshold bar provide a more complete barrier than a single bottom seal alone.

This seal is suitable for compatible frameless hinged doors, pivot doors and some bath screens using 8mm, 9mm or 10mm glass. It is not suitable for thinner 4–6mm glass, side magnetic seals, vertical closing seals, curved shower screens, sliding door tracks, metal-framed doors or bottom gaps outside the 9–12mm range.
