This seal is suitable if:
- Your shower glass is 8mm, 9mm or 10mm thick.
- You need a bottom seal for a straight glass shower door.
- The bottom edge of the glass is smooth and unobstructed.
- The gap beneath the door is approximately 15–22mm.
- Your required length is 950mm or less.
Choose another seal if:
- Your glass is not 8–10mm thick.
- The bottom edge has a metal frame or fixing profile covering the glass.
- The door has a curved lower edge.
- Hinges, guide blocks or bottom hardware leave no room for a straight fin.
Suitable Applications & Installation Notes
The V810S2023 is a clear PVC bottom seal designed for 8–10mm straight glass shower doors.
Its 23mm flexible fin is intended for larger bottom gaps, helping reduce water passing beneath the door while allowing the fin to flex gently against the shower tray or threshold during opening and closing.
Unlike seals designed for framed doors or special track systems, this profile is intended for smooth, exposed glass edges where the seal can slide directly onto the bottom of the glass without obstruction.
It is generally suitable for frameless and semi-frameless shower doors with a straight bottom edge. It is not recommended where the bottom of the glass is curved or where hinges, guide blocks or other hardware prevent the fin from moving freely.
The overall shape of your old seal does not need to be identical. As long as the glass thickness, bottom gap and straight glass edge match, this profile may still be a suitable replacement.
The seal is supplied in a 950mm length and can be trimmed to suit the width of the door before installation.
To install, remove the old seal, clean the glass edge thoroughly, then press the new profile evenly onto the bottom of the glass until fully seated.
