This seal is suitable if:
- Your shower glass is 4mm, 5mm or 6mm thick.
- The lower edge of the glass is straight and exposed.
- Your bottom gap is around 11–17mm.
- You need a longer 18mm offset flexible fin.
- A central bottom fin may be obstructed by a hinge, fitting, raised section or wider threshold below the door.
- Your required finished length is 950mm or less.
Choose another seal if:
- Your glass is thicker than 6mm.
- Your bottom gap is well outside the recommended range.
- The lower glass edge is curved.
- You specifically need the flexible fin directly underneath the centre of the glass.
- A frame or metal rail prevents a push-fit seal from fitting directly onto the glass.
Offset Fin for Larger Bottom Gaps
VC456 is a clear push-fit bottom seal for 4–6mm straight shower glass, with an 18mm flexible offset fin suited to gaps of around 11–17mm.
Because the main sealing fin sits to one side of the glass rather than directly underneath it, the profile can be useful where a bottom fitting, wider threshold or raised section would interfere with a standard central fin.
The longer flexible fin reaches down beside the lower edge of the door to meet the tray or threshold, while still allowing the seal to move with the glass.
VC456 can also be used on a standard shower door where this offset-fin position matches the existing layout.
The seal pushes directly onto the glass without adhesive and is supplied in a 950mm length for trimming before fitting.
