This seal is suitable if:
- Your framed shower door has an existing side retaining channel or track.
- The internal track can accept an approximately 8mm retaining base.
- You need to seal a side gap of up to around 8mm.
- The opposite surface is reasonably flat, such as glass or tile.
- You need a flexible side seal for a sliding shower door.
- You need up to 2000mm of seal.
Choose another seal if:
- Your old seal clips directly onto exposed glass.
- Your track is too narrow for the approximately 8mm retaining base.
- Your side gap is clearly larger than 8mm.
- The opposite surface is heavily curved or uneven.
- You need a magnetic closing seal.
Side Seal for Framed Sliding Shower Doors
VD003 is a 2000mm clear PVC framed side seal designed to slide into the vertical track of a framed sliding shower door.
Its approximately 8mm retaining base fits into a compatible channel, while the 17mm flexible sealing section extends outward to meet an adjacent flat surface.
It is commonly used where a framed or sliding shower door closes alongside glass, tile or another smooth panel.
The flexible section can help close side gaps of up to approximately 8mm, depending on how it contacts the opposite surface.
The strip slides into the existing track and can be trimmed to the required length before fitting.
