What is the primary use for the UH456?
The UH456 is a finless U-shape edge protector for 4mm, 5mm and 6mm shower glass. It slides over the exposed glass edge to help prevent chipping, reduce vibration, and cushion contact with tiles, frames, floors, or another panel.
Will it slip or fall off over time?
The extra-deep 10mm+ channel gives the strip more contact with the glass than a shallow edge protector. This creates a firmer push-fit hold, without the need for glue or silicone.
How do I cover a full 2-metre vertical side?
Order 2 strips to cover up to 1.9m. For a 2m edge, check whether 1.9m coverage is enough for your enclosure, or contact us before ordering.
Do you have this for thicker glass?
Yes. If your glass is 8mm, 9mm or 10mm thick, choose our heavy-duty UH810 instead.
Can this stop water leaking under my shower door?
No. The UH456 is an edge protector, not a bottom water seal. If water is leaking under the door, choose a shower door bottom seal with a soft fin or drip rail.
Where should I fit this seal?
Fit it onto an exposed glass edge where protection or cushioning is needed, such as a side edge, vertical edge, or contact point between glass and a wall, frame, tile, or another panel.

Need to stop water leaking under the shower door?

The UH456 protects the glass edge, but it does not seal the gap under the door. If water is escaping onto the bathroom floor, browse our replacement shower door bottom seals with a soft fin or drip rail for 4mm, 5mm and 6mm glass.
