This seal is suitable if:
- Your framed or bi-fold shower door has an aluminium retaining channel.
- The channel can accept the approximately 5mm upper fitting.
- One or both retaining levels can sit securely inside the channel.
- You need a strip up to 2000mm long.
Choose another seal if:
- The profile clips directly onto the glass.
- The channel is too narrow for the fitting section.
- The seal remains loose after insertion.
- The blade would be folded tightly against the frame.
Suitable Applications
VI001 combines a relatively narrow stepped fitting with a longer flexible blade. It is useful where the aluminium channel is compact but the seal still needs to reach across a more noticeable gap.
The two-level base allows the profile to work with different retaining-channel shapes. Depending on the frame, either one or both levels may help hold it in position.
Your replacement does not need to copy every dimension of the old seal. The important checks are that the channel can retain the fitting securely and that the flexible blade reaches the required surface without being heavily compressed.
The entire profile is flexible and can be cut to the required length. Minor trimming may help with small differences, but the fitting must still remain secure inside the track.
