This seal is suitable if:

  • Your glass is 4mm, 5mm or 6mm thick, and the gap is 6mm or smaller.
  • You need a slim soft bubble seal for a narrow vertical gap, such as glass-to-glass, glass-to-wall, glass-to-frame or sliding shower door side gaps.
  • You want light cushioning to reduce contact, rattling or minor water escape without normally affecting door movement.
  • Your required length does not exceed the selected seal length and can be trimmed to size.

Choose another seal if:

  • Your glass is thicker than 6mm, or your gap is larger than 6mm.
  • You need a larger bubble seal for a wider gap, a magnetic closing seal, or a dedicated bottom drip seal / water deflector.
  • Your shower door has a thick frame, trim or profile that prevents push-fit installation.

Suitable Applications & Installation Tips

The D456S7 clear shower door bubble seal is designed for 4mm, 5mm and 6mm glass where a compact flexible seal is needed for narrow gaps up to 6mm. The 7mm bubble is designed to compress, helping it cushion and seal smaller side gaps without feeling bulky.

It is suitable for vertical shower door edges, sliding shower door side panels, glass-to-glass gaps, glass-to-wall gaps and glass-to-frame contact points. The soft bubble helps reduce direct contact, light rattling and water escaping through small gaps while still allowing the door to open and close smoothly in most installations.

The flexible bubble can also help with slight unevenness along a vertical gap, provided the gap remains within the suitable 6mm range.

This seal may be fitted at the bottom in some cases where cushioning is needed, but it is not recommended as the main water-deflecting bottom seal. For bottom sealing, a dedicated bottom shower door seal or drip seal is usually more suitable.

For easier installation, start from the bottom of the glass panel. Place one corner of the seal onto the glass edge first, then push the seal on gradually along the edge. Do not start fitting from the middle of the glass, as this can make the seal harder to install.
