This seal is suitable if:
- Your curved shower glass is 8mm thick.
- The bottom of the door has a compatible U-shaped fitting area around 9mm wide.
- Your curved door has bottom hardware, hinges or fittings that make a standard straight or short-fin seal difficult to use.
- You need a longer flexible fin that can be trimmed to suit the actual clearance.
- Your required finished length is 950mm or less.
Choose another seal if:
- Your glass thickness falls outside 8mm.
- The bottom U-channel / fitting width is not compatible with the approximately 9mm profile.
- Your glass is straight rather than curved.
- You need a magnetic or vertical seal.
- You need a rigid fin that cannot be trimmed.
Designed for Curved Doors with Bottom Hardware
M309S-8-55 CU is a clear bottom seal designed for 8mm curved shower glass, especially where hinges or other fittings sit close to the lower edge of the door.
The approximately 9mm U-shaped channel fits over a compatible curved glass edge, while the 38mm flexible fin extends below the door to help bridge the space around bottom hardware or a deeper clearance.
If the profile and U-channel fit are correct but the fin is slightly too long, the soft fin can be carefully trimmed with a small pair of scissors.
As a practical guide, the fin only needs to extend around 3–5mm beyond the actual gap. This gives enough extra length to make contact without leaving unnecessary material dragging against the tray or threshold.
Trim only the soft fin, a little at a time. Do not cut into the U-channel.
The seal is supplied in a 950mm length and can be cut down to suit the width of the curved door.
