Product Description & Suitable Applications
The PV29 is a low-profile self-adhesive shower water barrier designed to help reduce leaks at the bottom of shower doors, tray edges, thresholds and awkward corners.
Unlike a push-fit shower door seal, the PV29 sticks directly to the tray or threshold, making it suitable as a secondary barrier when your existing seal is not enough. At just 5mm high, it adds extra protection while keeping a neat, discreet finish.
For best results, clean and dry the surface thoroughly before fitting. If fitting near a shower bottom seal, allow a small 3–5mm overlap to help reduce corner leaks, but avoid excessive overlap as this may cause the door to catch.
Make sure the ends sit tightly against the wall or corner, then leave the adhesive to cure for 7–10 hours before getting it wet.
Important: If water appears on the floor near the hinge, confirm whether it is escaping from the bottom edge, tray corner or hinge-side gap before choosing a seal. The PV29 is a secondary tray or threshold barrier, not a replacement for a vertical hinge-side seal.
Installation Notes
- Clean the tray, threshold or fitting surface thoroughly.
- Make sure the surface is completely dry before applying the adhesive strip.
- Measure the required length and trim the PV29 if needed.
- Check that the shower door can open and close without catching on the 5mm barrier.
- Peel off the backing and press the strip firmly into position.
- Leave the adhesive to cure for 7–10 hours before getting it wet.
