This seal is suitable if:
- Your shower door has a retaining groove or channel rather than a seal that clips directly onto glass.
- Your existing profile is similar to the shape shown in our dimension drawing.
- The important fitting measurements are approximately 5.6mm, 2mm and 4mm.
- You need a black flexible seal commonly found on folding or framed shower doors.
- Your required finished length is 2000mm or less.
Choose another seal if:
- Your existing seal is an F-shaped profile.
- Your door uses a round bead, T-slot or glass clip-on fitting.
- The 5.6mm, 2mm or 4mm measurements are significantly different.
- You need a seal that clips directly onto bare glass.
- Your existing channel is blocked by hinges, rollers or other fittings.
Product Details
ROT04 is a black PVC insert seal often used on folding and framed shower doors where the seal fits into a prepared channel.
It is not an F-shaped seal. The profile has its own narrow retaining section with a flexible side blade, so matching the fixing dimensions is more important than trying to identify the seal by appearance alone.
Before ordering, compare the cross-section of your old seal with the dimension drawing. The three key measurements are:
- 5.6mm across the upper retaining section
- 2mm at the lower slot/opening
- 4mm overall profile height
If these measurements are close and the channel shape is compatible, ROT04 may be a suitable replacement even if your old seal looks slightly worn or distorted.
The flexible side fin helps close the space beside the frame or folding-door section while still allowing the door to move normally.
Supplied as a 2000mm black PVC strip and can be cut to the required length before fitting.
