This seal is suitable if:
- Your shower glass is 8mm, 9mm or 10mm thick.
- The bottom edge of the glass is straight.
- Your bottom gap is ideally around 2–4mm, with a maximum of 5mm.
- You want a bottom seal with a soft sealing fin underneath and a rigid side deflector.
- You need a replacement for a frameless or semi-frameless shower door or screen.
- There is a raised hinge, bottom fitting or track that makes a standard central fin less practical.
- Your required finished length is 950mm or less.
Choose another seal if:
- Your glass is thinner than 8mm or thicker than 10mm.
- The lower edge of the glass is curved.
- Your bottom gap is clearly larger than 5mm.
- A metal frame prevents the seal from fitting directly onto the glass.
- You need a magnetic or vertical side seal.
Suitable Applications & Installation Notes
S810DTL is a clear push-fit bottom seal for 8–10mm straight shower glass, designed with a rigid side deflector and a soft flexible bottom fin.
The rigid side section helps direct water back into the shower area as it runs down the glass. Because this deflector extends from the side rather than the centre underneath, this style can be especially useful where the bottom of the door has a raised hinge fitting, hardware piece or track that may interfere with a more conventional bottom-fin seal.
Below the glass, the soft fin provides the sealing contact against the tray or threshold. It is intended for smaller bottom gaps, working best at around 2–4mm and up to approximately 5mm depending on how the fin meets the surface below.
This design is often chosen when a standard bottom seal may be compressed too heavily by nearby fittings, or where the sealing edge needs to sit slightly differently to keep the door moving freely while still helping reduce water escape.
The clear U-shaped channel pushes directly onto the glass without adhesive. The seal is supplied in a 950mm length and can be trimmed before fitting.
