This seal is suitable if:
- Your framed shower door has an existing side retaining channel or track.
- The internal track space is wider than approximately 6mm.
- You need to seal a side gap of up to around 6mm.
- The opposite surface is reasonably flat, such as glass or tile.
- You need a flexible side seal for a sliding shower door.
- You need up to 2000mm of seal.
Choose another seal if:
- Your old seal clips directly onto exposed glass.
- Your track is too narrow to accept the approximately 6mm retaining base.
- Your side gap is clearly larger than 6mm.
- The opposite surface is heavily curved or uneven.
- You need a magnetic closing seal.
Side Seal for Framed Sliding Shower Doors
VD004 is a 2000mm clear PVC framd side seal designed to slide into the vertical track of a sliding shower door.
The approximately 6mm retaining base sits inside the existing channel, while the flexible sealing section extends outward to meet the adjacent surface.
It is commonly used where the moving or framed door closes alongside a flat glass panel, tiled wall or similar smooth surface.
The flexible section can help close side gaps of up to approximately 6mm, depending on how it meets the opposite surface.
VD004 slides into the existing track and can be trimmed to the required length before fitting.
