This seal is suitable if:
- Your shower door has an existing retaining channel or track.
- The track can accept an approximately 7mm retaining base.
- You need a flexible seal for the vertical edge of a framed sliding or folding shower door.
- Your bottom track uses the same type of insert profile.
- You need a soft hollow section that can compress against the adjacent surface.
- You need up to 2000mm of seal.
Choose another seal if:
- Your old seal clips directly onto exposed glass.
- Your track is too narrow for the approximately 7mm retaining base.
- You need a magnetic closing seal.
- You need a long side fin rather than a compressible bubble profile.
- Your installation does not use a retaining groove or track.
Flexible Bubble Seal for Framed Shower Doors
VD005 is a 2000mm clear PVC track-in seal for framed shower doors.
The approximately 7mm retaining base slides into the existing channel, while the hollow 17mm flexible bubble section remains exposed and compresses against the adjacent frame, panel or surface when the door closes.
This type of profile is commonly used along the vertical sides of framed sliding and folding shower doors. It can also be used in some bottom-track positions where the same channel shape is present.
Unlike a long flexible fin, the hollow bubble section works by compressing slightly to fill the contact area and help reduce small gaps around the door.
The strip can be trimmed to the required length before fitting.
