This seal is suitable if:

  • Your shower door has a 5mm round bead channel.
  • The bottom gap is approximately 15–23mm.
  • You need a flexible bottom seal for a framed or bi-fold shower door.
  • Your existing seal slides into a rounded retaining track.
  • You need either a 950mm or 2000mm length that can be trimmed.

Choose another seal if:

  • Your retaining channel is smaller than 5mm.
  • Your bottom gap is much smaller than 15mm or larger than 23mm.
  • Your seal pushes directly onto the glass without a track.
  • Your door uses a T-slot or another fixing style.

Suitable Applications & Installation Notes

VF003 is a flexible PVC bottom seal designed for framed shower doors that use a 5mm round bead fixing.

Instead of clipping onto the glass, the solid round bead slides into a compatible rounded channel underneath the door. The soft 25mm fin flexes against the shower tray or threshold to help reduce water escaping beneath the door.

The overall shape of your old seal does not have to be identical. If the round bead diameter, bottom gap and track style are compatible, this profile can often be used as a suitable replacement.

Both the 950mm and 2000mm versions can be trimmed before fitting. The longer length is often suitable for cutting into two shorter sections, allowing one to be fitted now and the remaining piece kept as a spare where appropriate.

Simply remove the old seal, clean the retaining channel, then slide the new profile into place.

 

This seal is available in 950mm and 2000mm lengths. The 2000mm option is currently available for £18.48, only £3.60 more than the 950mm length at £14.88. For many shower doors, it can be cut into two shorter sections, with one fitted now and the remaining section kept as a spare.
