This seal is suitable if:

  • Your shower door uses a rounded retaining channel.
  • The channel accepts a 5mm round bead.
  • Your bottom gap is approximately 6–12mm.
  • You need a soft white replacement seal for a framed or folding door.
  • You need either a 950mm or 2000mm strip that can be trimmed.

Choose another seal if:

  • Your door uses a T-slot rather than a round bead channel.
  • The retaining channel is not suitable for a 5mm bead.
  • Your bottom gap is much smaller than 6mm or larger than about 12mm.
  • You need a magnetic, side or clip-on glass seal.

Suitable Applications & Installation Notes

VF005 is a soft white PVC bottom seal for framed and folding shower doors fitted with a 5mm round bead channel.

Its shorter 14mm flexible fin is designed for relatively small bottom gaps of approximately 6–12mm. The blade bends gently against the shower tray or threshold, helping reduce water escaping beneath the door without using the longer profile required for a deeper gap.

The white finish makes VF005 particularly suitable for framed enclosures with white tracks or surrounding trim, where a clear or dark grey profile may be more noticeable.

The old seal does not need to have the same overall profile. If the 5mm round bead, retaining channel and bottom gap are compatible, VF005 may still be a suitable replacement.

Both the 950mm and 2000mm lengths can be cut to size before fitting. Where the door requires less than one metre, the 2000mm strip may be divided into two shorter sections, allowing the remaining piece to be kept as a spare.

Remove the old seal, clean the channel and slide the round bead into the track from one end. Do not force the bead into a channel that is too narrow.
