This seal is suitable if:
- Your glass is approximately 8–12mm thick.
- The lower edge of the glass is straight and accessible.
- Your bottom gap is up to around 8mm.
- There is limited clearance around the bottom of the glass.
- A conventional clip-on seal is difficult to fit because the screen or door cannot easily be removed.
Choose another seal if:
- Your bottom gap is clearly larger than 8mm.
- The lower edge of the glass is curved.
- You need a magnetic or vertical side seal.
- You specifically need a removable push-fit profile.
- The bonding surface cannot be cleaned and dried properly before fitting.
Adhesive Bottom Seal for Limited Installation Space
VG002 is a 2000mm self-adhesive bottom seal designed for 8–12mm shower glass and smaller bottom gaps.
Instead of clipping over the glass with a U-shaped channel, the 8mm-wide adhesive base bonds directly to the lower edge of the glass. This makes it useful where there is not enough clearance for a standard push-fit seal, particularly on fixed glass screens or installations where removing the whole door or panel would be inconvenient.
The profile uses two flexible fins underneath to help close gaps of up to approximately 8mm.
VG002 is supplied with pre-applied anti-mould adhesive tape. Clean and dry the glass thoroughly, trim the seal to length, remove the backing and press it firmly into position.
The 2000mm strip can be cut down to suit the required width.
