This seal is suitable if:
- You need a small-gap bottom seal or vertical side seal.
- You want to add extra sealing where an existing vertical seal does not fully cover the gap.
- Your bottom gap is around 5–10mm.
- Your vertical gap is around 1–11mm.
- The fitting surface is smooth, clean and dry.
- Your required length is 2000mm or less.
Choose another seal if:
- Your gap is significantly larger than the recommended range.
- You need a magnetic closing seal.
- The fitting surface is wet, textured or unsuitable for adhesive fitting.
- You need a clip-on seal that grips directly around the glass edge.
Suitable Applications
VG003 is a slim self-adhesive shower door seal with an 11mm flexible fin, suitable for both bottom and vertical gap sealing.
The rigid PVC base sticks to the glass or compatible smooth surface, while the soft PVC fin flexes against the adjoining surface to help reduce water escaping.
It can be used along the bottom edge for gaps of approximately 5–10mm, or vertically for gaps of approximately 1–11mm. It is also useful as a supplementary strip where an existing vertical seal does not quite reach far enough.
Supplied in a 2000mm length, it can be cut shorter to suit the installation.
Installation
- Clean the fitting surface and allow it to dry fully.
- Measure and trim the strip to the required length.
- Check the position before removing the backing tape.
- Peel off the backing and press the rigid side firmly into place.
- Avoid repeatedly removing and repositioning the strip, as this can reduce adhesive strength.
