This seal is suitable if:
- Your framed or bi-fold door has a broad internal channel.
- The channel can accommodate the approximately 10mm upper section.
- Its shape can securely retain one or more of the stepped fixing levels.
- You need a longer profile for a larger sealing distance.
- You need a strip up to 2000mm long.
Choose another seal if:
- Your installation channel is narrow or shallow.
- The wide fitting needs to be forced into place.
- The flexible blade would be excessively compressed.
- You need a glass-mounted, rigid or magnetic seal.
Suitable Applications
VI003 is designed for larger aluminium channels where a small T-head may not be retained securely.
Its broad upper fitting and stepped lower sections provide several possible contact points inside the track. This makes it useful for older framed or bi-fold doors with a wider or more complex channel shape.
The long flexible blade gives the profile more reach, but the fitting size should always be checked first. Do not choose this model solely because it is longer—the aluminium channel must have enough internal space to accept the base comfortably.
An exact copy of the old cross-section is not always necessary. A secure fit inside the channel and suitable blade reach are the two main checks.
The flexible 2000mm strip can be cut to length. Small adjustments are possible, provided the retaining section is not weakened.
