This seal is suitable if:
- Your framed or bi-fold shower door has a medium-sized aluminium channel.
- The track can accept the approximately 6.5mm upper fitting.
- The stepped section can be retained securely inside the track.
- You need approximately 15mm of flexible sealing reach.
Choose another seal if:
- Your channel requires a very narrow fitting.
- The 6.5mm upper section cannot enter the track.
- The gap is too large for the 15mm blade.
Suitable Applications
VI005 provides a more substantial fitting than the narrow VI profiles while keeping the flexible blade relatively compact.
The approximately 6.5mm upper section suits medium-width aluminium channels, while the smaller central retaining section can help secure the profile within a stepped track. Depending on the frame design, one or both levels may engage.
Its approximately 15mm blade is useful where a longer seal might rub, fold or interfere with the movement of a folding door.
The old seal does not have to be an exact visual match. Confirm that the channel can accept and hold the stepped fitting, then check that the blade reaches the adjoining surface without excessive pressure.
The whole profile is flexible and supplied in a 2000mm length for cutting to size. Only make minor fitting adjustments, as removing too much material may prevent the track from retaining the seal.
