If your shower screen has a larger bottom gap — this one’s for you.
The SIM-0008 is one of the best shower screen seals in the UK for covering wide gaps.
It features two bottom fins — the longer one faces inwards, and the shorter one faces outwards.
This smart design solves the problem single-finned seals have when dealing with bigger gaps.
If your bottom gap is more than 20 mm, a double-finned seal like this is well worth considering.
What to Avoid: A Design Flaw You Shouldn’t Ignore
Some bottom seals on the market are designed with a hollow inner channel where water can easily get trapped.
like:
or
or
The problem? Once water gets in, it has nowhere to drain—and that means lingering moisture, mould risk, and eventual damage.
This kind of design might work in dry climates, but it’s definitely not recommended for UK bathrooms where humidity levels are already high.

Best Adhesive for Shower Door Seal — Meet the V312S1223
After chatting with our founder Jack (who’s been in the seal game longer than he’s been in the dating game)
We realised something: most bottom seals on the market just don’t cut it.
Trustpilot reviews are full of frustrated customers saying their seal wouldn’t fit on arrival, or came loose because of tiny measurement mistakes.
So Jack and our engineering team rolled up their sleeves and came up with the V312S1223 — an adhesive bottom seal that works on any glass thickness, designed to withstand the UK’s humid bathroom conditions
Yes, really — whether your glass is 3 mm, 8 mm, 11 mm, or even 20 mm, this little genius will stick around.
It also fits gaps from 12 mm to 35 mm. Just trim it to match your gap, pop it on, and enjoy the strangely satisfying DIY moment of installing your very own shower door seal.
Congratulations — you’ve just adopted your seal.
Best Shower Screen Seal for Curved Glass UK
Curved shower seals actually come in the same styles as the straight bottom seals we mentioned earlier.
-
Drip rail – Perfect for frameless or hinged shower doors
-
Double fin – Great for larger gaps
-
SIM-0007 – Designed for sliding shower doors
The only real difference just the seal is pre-shaped into a curve to match your glass.
But, not every seal can bend to match your curved shower screen.
Some won’t bend at all.
That usually happens because the seal’s curvature wasn’t manufactured to the correct standard in the first place.
We explained the full reason in our guide [ 5 Golden Rules to Choose the Right Shower Door Seal — but here’s the short version: the curve needs to match your glass perfectly.
Just look at the photo — you can see how SIMBA’s seals align flawlessly with the curve of the glass.
When you buy a curved shower seal from SIMBA, you’re getting one that’s made to fit your glass perfectly.
Oh, and here’s a bonus: our V312S1223 Universal Seal also works with curved shower doors! Yes — it’s that versatile.
Best Vertical Shower Door Seal Strip
Yes, yes, yes — here we are. The last but definitely not least part of your shower seal setup: the side shower seal.
It might not need replacing as often as the bottom seal, but trust me, choosing the right one can make a world of difference.
Here’s a simple rule of thumb:
Magnetic seal > F or H-shaped seal (when it comes to sealing performance).
If you’ve got both in front of you, the magnetic seal strip will give you a tighter closure — but it also comes with a higher price tag.
Now, here’s the catch. Magnetic seals require very precise measurements. Their sealing range is almost fixed, with a tolerance of only about 1–2 mm.
For example, our standard DD46 magnetic seal has a 20 mm sealing gap.
-
If your gap measures 19 mm, it might not work.
-
If it’s 21–22 mm, you’re good — you can even fine-tune the fit by adjusting how the hard PVC part (10 mm high) sits on the glass.
To avoid any disappointment (and returns), we always recommend ordering a sample first.
F- or H-shaped shower seals, on the other hand, don’t have this problem.
As long as your gap falls within our recommended range, they’ll work beautifully — provided your glass panels meet at a standard 180°, 90°, or 135° angle, with no misalignment.
