Magnetic Shower Door Seal - What to Watch Out For

Shower door magnetic seal need a precise gap to work properly. If the space between the doors isn’t within the right range, they won’t close tightly and water can leak out.

Make sure the shower magnetic door seal fits your glass – whether it’s 6mm, 8mm, or 10mm thick. If it doesn’t match, the strip might fall off or simply won’t stay in place. A good seal should hold tight even under at least 50N of pulling force.

Grease, limescale, or soap scum can reduce grip. Use rubbing alcohol or a glass cleaner to wipe the edges clean before attaching the strip.

After a while, the magnetic shower screen seal might shift slightly or lose some magnetism. We recommend checking it every 6–12 months to make sure everything still seals properly.
