Key Information About Shower Door Seals
Not a good idea — especially if it’s over 60°C (140°F).
High temperatures can cause the soft fins on your shower door seal to curl, warp, or even melt.

No. Our seals are designed to grip tightly. Heating can weaken that grip, cause gaps or mold, and shorten the product's life.
A snug fit is a feature, not a flaw.
Yes, we have a detailed guide to cutting shower seals.

SIMBA offers you sealing strips made of PVC, which is environmentally friendly.

[bottom seal installation guide] and [side seal installation guide].
Remember: a properly fitting seal strip shouldn’t slide on — a tight fit is a good thing.
If the gap between your shower door and the floor (when open) or wall is less than 25mm, a push-in seal might be tricky to install — there’s just not enough room to work with.In that case, an adhesive bath seal is a better fit.
It’s easier to apply in tight spaces and still gives great protection, especially when used with a shower door threshold strip.
If you are unsure about the suitability of a product, we strongly recommend that you order a sample, as the cost of returning a seal is usually higher than the cost of the product itself.
This usually means there's a mismatch in size.
- Either the fin is too long for the gap, or
- The U-channel doesn't fit your glass thickness properly.
A good shower seal should handle up to 50N of force without slipping.
Always measure both the glass thickness and the gap before buying.
