This seal is suitable if:

  • Your glass is 4mm, 5mm or 6mm thick.
  • You need to reduce water escaping between two straight glass panels.
  • The gap between the panels is approximately 3mm to 6mm.
  • The panels meet edge to edge in a 180-degree glass-to-glass layout.
  • You need a firm H-shape profile with a 10mm rigid fin for a defined barrier.
  • Your required length is 2000mm or less.
  • You are fitting it to a suitable hinged or folding shower door where the seal will not obstruct the opening path.

Choose another seal if:

  • Your glass is thicker than 6mm.
  • Your gap is outside the recommended 3mm to 6mm range.
  • You need a seal for a sliding shower door.
  • Your shower glass is curved.
  • You require a bottom seal, drip seal, threshold strip, guide rail seal or track seal.
  • The seal would prevent a hinged or folding door from opening and closing freely.

Suitable Applications and Fitting Notes

The HH456 H shape shower door seal is designed for 4mm, 5mm and 6mm glass and is used between two straight glass panels in a 180-degree glass-to-glass arrangement. It helps close vertical gaps of approximately 3mm to 6mm.

This profile is suitable where a standard H-shape seal does not provide enough coverage between the two glass edges. The clear rigid PVC body pushes onto the glass edge, while the 10mm rigid fin helps create a firmer barrier across the gap.

The rigid fin is usually positioned towards the inside of the shower enclosure to help deflect water back into the shower area.

Depending on the layout of the enclosure, it may also be fitted in the opposite direction if that gives better contact with the neighbouring glass edge.

Before trimming the seal, test the position against the door movement. For hinged and folding shower doors, the profile should not catch, rub heavily or restrict the door as it opens and closes.

This seal is not suitable for sliding shower doors, curved shower screens, bottom seals, drip seals, shower tracks or guide rails.
