Magnetic Shower Door Seal - What to Watch Out For

  • Shower door magnetic seal need a precise gap to work properly. If the space between the doors isn’t within the right range, they won’t close tightly and water can leak out.

  • Make sure the shower magnetic door seal fits your glass – whether it’s 6mm, 8mm, or 10mm thick. If it doesn’t match, the strip might fall off or simply won’t stay in place. A good seal should hold tight even under at least 50N of pulling force.

  • Grease, limescale, or soap scum can reduce grip. Use rubbing alcohol or a glass cleaner to wipe the edges clean before attaching the strip.

  • After a while, the magnetic shower screen seal might shift slightly or lose some magnetism. We recommend checking it every 6–12 months to make sure everything still seals properly.
