2. Matching the Profile to Your Enclosure

The correct vertical seal profile depends on how your shower door closes:

Pivot or hinged shower doors: For frameless doors that swing open, an H-shape vertical seal or bulb seal with a flexible fin can help close the side gap between the glass and wall, frame, or fixed panel.

180-degree glass-to-glass joins: To bridge the gap between two inline panels, an H-shape seal or magnetic strip set can help create a secure closure.

135-degree angled enclosures: Angled corner showers need a dedicated 135-degree seal profile so the strip follows the angle of the glass correctly.

90-degree corner shower enclosures: A 90-degree magnetic shower door seal is usually needed where two glass doors or panels meet at a right angle.

First, remove the old seal by gently pulling it away from the glass edge.

Clean the glass surface with warm soapy water to remove any residue or limescale deposits.

Push the new seal onto the glass edge, starting from the top and working downward, ensuring the rigid U-channel grips the glass firmly.

If the seal is longer than required, mark the desired length and trim with sharp scissors or a craft knife for a precise cut to size.

For magnetic seals, align both strips on opposing glass panels to confirm correct polarity before final fitting.
